	Cadets must balance the demands of both the Army and the University yet still manage to find time for having some fun.



	My high school history teacher used to always quote Thomas Paine saying, 'The harder the conflict, the more glorious the triumph.' ROTC can demand a lot of time and require a lot of hard work, but it is definitely worth it because the program prepares college students for life after university, while still allowing students to enjoy their college experience.

Stand Out From The Rest

See how interesting college can be when you're a part of Army ROTC. You'll be a college student first and foremost, just like the rest of the student body, but there's a key difference: you'll have even more opportunities to succeed.

These opportunities include Field Training Exercises (FTXs) in the spring and fall where Cadets build their teamwork and leadership skills. Cadets also participate in Physical Training (PT) on a regular basis to keep up their strength and endurance.

In addition, each battalion has its own unique calendar of events and activities.

Being a part of the Demon Deacon Battalion means you'll be in the company of a diverse group of individuals with broad interests. Cadets have a variety of experiences, whether they have been presidents of their student governments, captains of their varsity sports teams, club presidents, or members of the National Honor Society.
