| “The experiences of ROTC and confidence I have gained from training to be a leader in the Army has helped me excel in other parts of life. Whether in the military or the civilian world, ROTC cadets possess the important attributes needed to be a successful leader.” |

Stand Out From The Rest
See how interesting college can be when you're a part of Army ROTC. You'll be
a college student first and foremost, just like the rest of the student body,
but there's a key difference: you'll have even more opportunities to succeed.
These opportunities include Field Training Exercises (FTXs) in the spring and
fall where Cadets build their teamwork and leadership skills. Cadets also
participate in Physical Training (PT) on a regular basis to keep up their
strength and endurance.
In addition, each battalion has its own unique calendar of events and activities.

 Army Values
Cadets practice the seven Army Values of: Leadership, Duty, Respect,
Selfless Service, Honor, Integrity, and Personal Courage.

Additional Training Opportunities
In addition to extra military school and training opportunities available
during summers, UNH Army ROTC Cadets may hone their warrior skills in Thursday
Night Training (TNT), or join the ranks of the 10th New Hampshire
Regiment—a community service and extracurricular oriented ROTC
organization.

Army National Guard and Army Reserve
Many Cadets participate in the Guard and Reserve’s Simultaneous Membership
Program (SMP). This is available to cadets not on an active-duty four or
three year scholarship, who serve as both ROTC cadets and paid members of a
local reserve component unit. Many benefits, incentives and other
scholarship opportunities exist for SMP Cadets.
