CDT Kate Caflisch

Battalion Commander

Kate Caflisch is from Oshkosh, Wisconsin, where her parents still reside. She started her military career in 2008 when, after searching around the Midwest for an ROTC program, decided the Gopher Battalion would be a great fit. She is currently a senior at the University of St. Thomas majoring in Accounting at the Opus College of Business. In addition to ROTC and classes, Kate played volleyball for nationally ranked St. Thomas Women’s Volleyball and is a three-time letter winner. She also enjoys spending time with her family, exercising, water sports, and volunteering through Junior Achievement. After graduation and commissioning she will be an active duty ordinance officer, reporting to Fort Lee, Virginia for training in the fall.
