Safety first.
Here a cadet is preparing to rappel from a 30 foot wall. His equipment is inspected to ensure proper operation. Cadets learn how to properly don specialized equipment and to properly inspect it.

The Falcon Battalion mission is to commission quality officer leadership for the United States Army from Saint Augustine’s College and Shaw University.  Our goals are to support the successful completion of all under graduate studies for all cadets, train cadets to be confident and effective leaders, and to produce officers of good character who live the Army Values.



Battalion History

In 1962, officials at Saint Augustine’s College began considering the possibility of establishing a Senior ROTC on Campus.

The Falcon Battalion Army ROTC program has been staffed with experienced and qualified trainers from around the Army.  We are a group of professional leaders committed to the training and development of the future leaders of the United States Army.
