Cadet Lieutenant Colonel Marc Severson

Cadet Battalion Commander

Cadet Severson is in his fourth year with the program as a four year national scholarship student.  Cadet Severson has been an active member of our Ranger Group and will graduate with a Business degree.  After graduation, he will enter the Illinois Army National Guard (ILARNG) and serve in the 333rd Military Police Company in Freeport, IL.








Cadet Major Jacob Veldhouse

Cadet Battalion Executive Officer

Cadet Veldhouse is in his second year of the program, and has been on a campus based scholarship for both years.  He transferred to NIU from Joliet Junior College, attended the Cadet Command Leader Training Course (LTC), and will graduate with a Business degree.  After graduation, Cadet Veldhouse will be an Active Duty Army helicopter pilot.








Cadet Major Gina Juarez

Cadet Battalion S3

Cadet Juarez is in her second year of the program and is also a scholarship cadet who participates in the Simultaneous Membership Program (SMP).  After she graduates with a degree in Public Health, Cadet Juarez will continue to serve in the US Army Reserve with the 822nd Military Police Company out of Arlington Heights, IL.
