Leader development is a continuous process of training, assessment and feedback with the goal of instilling and enhancing desirable behavior in military organizational managers. The LDP includes basic leadership training, periodic assessment, and counseling at both team and individual level by experienced observers.

Cadet Aaron Rindahl

Cadet Battalion Commander

Cadet Aaron Rindahl graduated from New London-Spicer High School in New London, MN.  He is currently attending St. Cloud State University where he is pursuing a degree in Accounting.  He will be commissioning as a Military Intelligence officer in the Army Reserve.

“ROTC has given me the foundation to be a successful Army officer, as well as being a leader in my civilian career as an accountant.”

Cadet Gregory Sandquist graduated from Totino-Grace High School in Fridley, MN. He is attending St. John's University double majoring in Political Science and German. He hopes to commission as an officer in Civil Affairs.

Cadet Tara Robertson graduated from Mt. Iron-Buhl High School in Mt. Iron, MN.  She now attends St. Cloud State University where she is pursuing a degree in Bio-Medical Science.  After commissioning, she hopes to join the Corps of Engineers in Army National Guard.

Cadet S-1/Personnel

Cadet Luke Thomsen graduated from Milaca High School in Milaca, MN.  He now attends St. Cloud State University where he is pursuing a degree in Business Management.  He will be commissioning as an Armor officer in the MN Army National Guard.

Cadet S-2/Intelligence

Cadet Conor McKeown graduated from Montevideo High School in Montevideo, MN.  He is currently attending St. John’s University where he is pursuing a degree in Communications.  He will be commissioning as an officer in May of 2009.

“ROTC gave me the strength to succeed.  I feel much more confident in myself and my ability to lead others.  ROTC strengthens the body and the mind, focusing one’s abilities into leadership.  ROTC is easily the smartest college course I have taken.”

Cadet Chaz Ochsendorf graduated from Dawson-Boyd High School in Boyd, MN.  He now attends St. Cloud State University where he is pursuing a degree in Accounting.  After commissioning he hopes to join the Field Artillery Corps.

“ROTC has helped me mature as an individual to be a better friend and worker. Along with the maturing, it has shown me why being a good leader for others to follow is so important. Great leadership is not only important on the battlefield but also in every aspect of life.”

Cadet Cody Martin graduated from Lakeview High School in Cottonwood, MN. He now attends Saint John’s University and pursuing a degree in Business Management. He hopes to commission as an officer in Aviation.

Cadet Alexander Treanor graduated from Minnesota Business Academy, located in St. Paul, MN.  He currently attends Saint Cloud State University where he will graduate with a degree in Management.  He plans to receive his commission in Military Intelligence.

A-Company CTO

Cadet Jason Fogt graduated from East Central High school in Sandstone MN.  He will be graduating from St. Johns University in the spring of 2009 with a Degree in Management and Communications.  When he commissions he hopes to enter the Military Police Corps.

"Even though I joined ROTC later on in my college career I absolutely love it.  A lot of my fellow Cadets are like brothers to me now and I wished I would have met them earlier."

Cadet Gerald Loher graduated from Morris Area High School in Morris, MN. He is currently attending St. Cloud State University where he is pursuing a degree in Land Surveying/Mapping Science with a minor in GIS. He will be commissioning as an officer in the Corps of Engineers.

“ROTC has prepared me as a leader in the U.S. Army, as well as a leader outside of the Army. It takes hard work, discipline, and don’t forget heart.”

Cadet Jacob Peterson graduated from Coon Rapids High School located in Coon Rapids, MN.  He now attends St. Cloud State University where he is majoring in History.  Upon commissioning he hopes to branch as Infantry officer.

“Army ROTC has challenged me mentally and physically.  This challenge has helped me develop leadership skills that will assist me in excelling as a future officer.  These leadership tools can not only be used on the battle field but also in the civilian sector.  ROTC has made me a member of the greatest organization in the world, The United States Army.”

Cadet Leroy Christiansen Graduated from Manitowoc Lincoln High School, WI, and now attends St. John's University where he plans to double major in Biology and Peace studies.  He hopes to commission as an Infantry officer.

Cadet Timothy Johnson graduated from Hargrave Military Academy in Chatham, VA. He is currently attending St. John’s University where he is pursuing a degree in Accounting. He hopes to commission as an officer in the Finance Corps.

Cadet Janv Ahavit graduated from North Hennepin Community College in Brooklyn Park.  He is currently attending St. Cloud State University where he is preparing to receive a BA in Criminal Justice Studies.  He plans to become a Military Police officer in the MN Army National Guard.

Cadet David Wickman received his GED while serving on active duty in the Navy. He is currently attending Saint Cloud State University pursuing degree in Aviation.  After commissioning he hopes to join the Aviation branch.

“ROTC has given me a sense of direction and purpose in my life; it has also allowed me to meet many likeminded individuals whether that is cadre or cadet that I could not elsewhere. There is no better way to go through college.”

Cadet Andrew Gaydos graduated from John A. Johnson Senior High School in Saint Paul, MN.  He is currently attending St. John’s University where he is pursuing a degree in History.  After Commissioning he hopes to be an Armor officer.
