Stand Out From The Rest
See how interesting college can be when you're a part of Army ROTC. You'll be
a college student first and foremost, just like the rest of the student body,
but there's a key difference: you'll have even more opportunities to succeed.
These opportunities include Field Training Exercises (FTXs) in the spring and
fall where Cadets build their teamwork and leadership skills. Cadets also
participate in Physical Training (PT) on a regular basis to keep up their
strength and endurance.
In addition, each battalion has its own unique calendar of events and activities.
Learn more about Events and Activities
Being a part of the Fighting Scots Battalion
means you will be part of our
family. Entering college is a difficult transition; most will leave
their lifelong friends behind. By entering ROTC you will immediately
belong to a large group of like minded students with similar interests and
hobbies. Along with the ROTC Cadre, the other cadets will help you excel
in college and insure that you overcome the common challenges that come from
being on you own for the first time.

Social Activities
Cadets plan, organize and participate in
several social events throughout the Fall and Spring Semesters to celebrate
accomplishments and camaraderie. These events include fund raisers as
well as a Winter Holiday Social for Cadets and guests as well as parents, and a
Formal Military Ball in the Spring.

Leadership Experience
The Cadets at Edinboro receive their
first taste of leadership right on campus. Daily Physical Training,
Weekly Leadership Labs, and our once a semester Field Training Exercises are
planned, resourced, executed and evaluated by cadets. The experiences of
Peer-Leadership learned here build a strong foundation for our cadets in their
future both in the military and in the career of their choice.
