Battalion History

A Proud History-A Bright Future

The California State University Fullerton ROTC Battalion has been proud to help develop the leaders of tomorrow.

Military Science at California State University Fullerton

The Titan Battalion at Cal State Fullerton was established in 1982.  Originally a part of the Claremont McKenna Army ROTC program, the Titan Battalion was recently redesignated as an independent program in 2002.  The Military Science program at Cal State Fullerton has commissioned countless graduates over the last two decades and its alumni are proudly serving around the world in key leadership roles as officers in the active Army, the Army Reserve of Army National Guard.  Our citizen-Soldier graduates have rewarding careers in corporate America, law enforcement, civil service, academia and in the defense industry.  Today, the Titan Battalion at Cal State Fullerton serves as the training battalion of Orange County’s universities. Our cadets come from local universities such as University of California Irvine, Chapman University, Biola Univeristy, Vanguard University, University of California Riverside, Whittier College as well as from the local community colleges.  In 2005, the Titan Battalion received accolades as the recipient of the General Douglas MacArthur award for excellence in recruiting, retention, training, Cadet performance and officer commissioning rates.
