Spring 09 Commissioning Ceremony
The ASU Sun Devil Battalion makes history during the Spring 09 commissioning ceremony as the 1st ROTC Battalion whose new lieutenants were sworn in by the President of the United States. A recent DOD directive change now authorizes the President of the United States to administer the oath of office to new 2nd Lieutenants.

The Department of Military Science at Arizona State University was founded in 1935 and is located on the main campus in Tempe. ASU is a world-class university in the heart of the Phoenix metropolitan area.  To learn more click here.
